The long awaited launch has been announced this week of the domestic Renewable Heat Incentive scheme, which is a great excuse for a celebration.
After months of anticipation and moments when both eager consumers and providers wondered if it would ever happen, the domestic Renewable Heat Incentive scheme has been launched officially by the Department for Energy and Climate Change. On 9th April the scheme went public, so the Government was true to its word when it promised a spring launch. Now homeowners who have installed an eligible renewable energy heating system since July 2009 can apply to start receiving RHI payments, which are payable quarterly for 7 years.
Applications are made online on the OFGEM website. Please follow the link to the domestic RHI application.
