Friday 29th June saw DECC announce further tariff degressions for both domestic and non-domestic small biomass under their respective Renewable Heat Incentive schemes. Does this latest drop sound the death knell for biomass?

This week Ofgem has announced the domestic RHI tariffs which will come into effect on April 1st 2015. There are winners and losers, with inflationary RPI increases for some and the degression 'super trigger' reached for biomass which sees its tariff tumble.

It's looking increasingly likely that the domestic air source heat pump market will hit its RHI tariff degression trigger in year one of operation. What will that mean for consumers?
